Client Eligibility

Gateway Community Health Centre offers integrated health services, programs, and support to residents of Tweed, Stirling, and Gilmour, and surrounding areas. Many of our programs and services are available for all members of our communities, while others are reserved for registered primary care clients who are attached to Gateway.

For registered primary care clients only

How to Become a Registered Client

To request primary care attachment, you must be registered with Health Care Connect, which is a free government program in Ontario that helps residents without a regular health provider find an accepting family doctor, nurse practitioner, or primary care team in their local community. For more information about the program and to register, visit Health Care Connect. When Gateway is accepting new clients, we receive a list of registrants from Health Care Connect to contact for an initial visit.
