In this program for newborns and toddlers, each individual child’s strengths and needs are identified through a functional developmental assessment. Families are assisted to access a variety of professional services as needed, which could include a physio/occupational therapist, speech/language pathologist, family counselling, psychometric testing or behavioural intervention.
- Increase knowledge of expected developmental and growth milestones.
- Meet other parents, share experiences and receive peer support to solve common parenting problems.
- Learn about breast and infant feeding guidelines, infant massage, bedtime routines, introducing solid foods, how to deal with a fussy eater, toilet training, and child playtime.
- Connect with community and health professional resources.
