The Registered Dietitian works with community groups to increase knowledge and skills to shift behavior to positive food choices and lifestyle changes needed to maintain healthy bodies.

Community-based Nutrition Education Programs

As part of our health promotion and disease prevention activities, GCHC’s Registered Dietitian offers fun and interactive group activities such as community kitchens.

Programming addresses:

    • food security
    • healthy eating/healthy weights
    • how to be a smart supermarket shopper
    • grocery budgeting
    • problematic eating behaviors
    • food preparation
    • prenatal and postnatal nutrition
    • chronic disease prevention and management

Workshops and educational sessions meet specific needs for older adults, new parents, youth, low-income families, and individuals with special needs.
