Community Resource Worker/Crisis Intervention Counselor  (CRW/CIC)

The CRW/CIC provides case management and crisis intervention for individuals and families on a short-term basis. She provides information to both clients and the community on community resources, and refers to links clients to community resources. The CRW/CIC also provides advocacy on behalf of clients and the community for programs and services.

The CRW/CIC supports clients experiencing crisis such as:

• Financial problems
• Inability to acquire adequate food
• Parenting Support and/or Education
• Problems with Housing
• Child Custody Proceedings
• Issues with Communities/Social Service Agencies
• Problems with Child Welfare Agency
• Help filling out forms
• Problems acquiring transportation
• Employment problems
• Problem with government disability/support benefits
• Or just needing to talk things through

Individuals can self-refer or be referred through other service providers. Services are offered in office, by phone or home visits to those living within the catchment area.
